In the third graduate graduation ceremony and second undergraduate ceremony held March 30, 2016, 104 students graduated from Pyongyang University of Science and Technology (PUST).
PUST is now operating in its sixth year and has just held another graduation ceremony, in which 98 undergraduate students graduated with Bachelor’s of Science degrees from the Schools of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Electrical and Computer Engineering, and International Management and Finance. Six postgraduate students received Master’s of Science degrees from the same schools.
Diplomats from various countries, including representatives from Sweden, Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland and the UK, attended the graduation ceremony.
Speeches were given by the PUST Founding President, Dr. Chin-Kyung Kim, the DPRK PUST President, and two student representatives.
Following the graduation ceremony, graduates, faculty, and guests planted trees, as is a DPRK tradition to do so upon graduation.
